Believe it or not men sometimes or in the same boat. I was in one for several years and because of my tract record with marriages I hung on for dear life. Would anyone believe me that I was the one being abused NO, simple fact because usually it is the other way around. Finally the last straw was when she was on the internet looking for someone else and I asked her to get off and try working on our marriage and she blew up.

My decision to leave my relationship was made for me when I found out I was going to have a baby. I knew I didn't want to raise my child in an environment like that. I watched my mom get beat up and I'll never forget what that felt like. I promised myself I would never put a child through that. I packed what I could, waited for him to go to work, and got the hell on. By the time he realized I was gone for good I was back home safely with my family. He knew better than to try to come get me. If someone is hurting you, they can't possibly love you. You don't hurt someone you love.

i was in an abusive relationship and looking back i cant even remember what we fought about. i thought i was so in love with this guy that i couldnt leave. but getting bruises got old after a while and i did. it was the best thing i ever done he couldnt control me anymore. towards the end i started fighting back i took the club off of my car and chased him with it i almost got arrested. the police looked up my restraining order and police reports and took the handcuffs of me and put them on him i was finally in control. it felt great!!!! i seen him a couple of years ago and he apologized (he even cried) .. your life is what you make of it and you only have the one we dont know what comes next. i had a friend whose mother was killed by her abusive boyfriend. she found her mothers head splattered all over the walls and a bloody baseball bat

hunni i was in an emotionally abusive relationship that went really sour when after 17 years i wanted to leave, he almost got violent with me, but the worst part of it was he tried to brainwash my 2 yr old at the time to hate me, thankfully he did not succeed and today 3 years later we are friends for our daughters sake

Never..and you should never go through it also. You came in this world to be as happy as you can, not to be abused in any way.

Yep, I sure have.
Once I realized, there was nothing so special about him to get to treat me this way, (which is the lie they try to get you to believe), I kicked him to the curb.
