Back in the 1700s and stuff...were slaves picked ramdomly or were ALL of them prisoners?

no, the slaves were picked carefully by their strength and abilities, and i'm not hating, but that's why today african-americans excell in sports

Most slaves were sold to the slave traders by their own people. Sad but true.

Some were prisoners of tribal wars,others were sold by their own tribe`s chieftans.So nobody was innocent.
