I mean does anyone else notice how its always the mother-in-laws fault and the daughter-in-law is just the poor innocent victim. I mean how come the DIL is never at fault? It almost seems as if he like to gang up on MILs and make them look bad on his show.

Because it usually is the MIL's fault! MIL's are stable older adults with alot of knowledge on how to conduct themselves and how to push or not push people's butons. DIL's are obviously younger people who aren't as attuned to these things. MIL's should know better. Plus no matter how terrible a DIL is, if her husband loves her and wants to keep her around then it is no issue to the MIL. She is now a relative and the son or daughter is now a grown person with a mind and a spouse and a family of their own. MIL's are just angry because they went from being the boss of the everything to just a relative who is the boss of nothing but her own immediate family.

The mother-in-law is almost always older. It is her responsibility to convince herself never to criticize her son's wife to her face, to her son, or to ANYBODY except her own husband and counselors pledged to secrecy if necessary. Period.
