My dad drinks silk soy milk and was wondering if a 7 month old could have small ammounts of it. In no way would it be replacing his formula. I just know that soy milk is good for you and thought that maybe my 7 month old would like it in small ammounts.

Yes you can...both my children were allergic to formula, their pediatrician recommended soy milk which stopped all the reactions.
Soy milk is high in antioxidants and protein, and because it is made from beans, also contains considerably more fiber than cow's milk...also prevents many cancers, heart disease, and
osteoporosis.

No. If you want him to have soy milk, buy some soy formula (which actually is a bad idea unless cow's milk formula isn't working for him). Treat soy milk like you would cow's milk-- none until age 1! There's no reason to give soy milk. Those ads you see about soy milk are there to convince you it is Good For You. Doesn't make it true for babies, and doesn't make it true for everyone.

Do not give your baby any kind of milk (cow, soy, rice or whatever) until they're a year old. Stick with formula. Your baby has their whole life to drink whatever milk they want, and there's no harm in waiting another 4 1/2 months.

You have as much chance of being allergic to soy as you do dairy. If you do choose to give your baby soy milk at 12 months, make sure it's not low-fat, and it's fortified.

She still has 4 1/2 months until she should have any kind of milk. It could very possible be that her digestive system just isn't ready for milk, which it shouldn't be.

The bottom line answer is YES. Now, small doses may not hurt, but you have to experiment and see. It's safe because it's not animal milk which causes most allergies. But any diet changes means the baby's stomach has to adjust to it. Most times, but not always, this may cause a reaction. My son was older (maybe 14 mos), he had already started walking when i when i tried soy milk with him. He loved it and even requested it, but every bottle was followed by a horribly, nasty pamper! Good luck and soy is healther =)

Your infant should be on formula until one year. Soy milk will upset his digestive system. It is still immature. You could be doing damage to your child. Consult a physician before giving soy milk.

Making dietary changes is your first line of defense in treating hypothyroidism. Learn here https://tr.im/lrRtb

Many people with hypothyroidism experience crippling fatigue and brain fog, which prompts reaching for non-nutritional forms of energy like sugar and caffeine. I’ve dubbed these rascals the terrible twosome, as they can burn out your thyroid (and destabilize blood sugar).

1. Just say no to the dietary bungee cord. Greatly reduce or eliminate caffeine and sugar, including refined carbohydrates like flour, which the body treats like sugar. Make grain-based carbohydrates lesser of a focus, eating non-starchy vegetables to your heart’s content.

2. Up the protein. Protein transports thyroid hormone to all your tissues and enjoying it at each meal can help normalize thyroid function. Proteins include nuts and nut butters; quinoa; hormone- and antibiotic-free animal products (organic, grass-fed meats, eggs, and sustainably-farmed fish); and legumes.
