What strength peroxide did you use? The OTC from the store is 3% and for cleaning ears you would usually dilute it with water to half-strength.

There may have been a sore or cut in the ear before you put the solution in and that gave you a sensation of heat. The peroxide wouldn't cause that on it's own even at 3% strength.

Warm Peroxide In Ear

Peroxide burns when you put it on wounds, too! Never put it in your ear! It should have been diluted at least by 2/3rds. It probably burnt you as it is hot & was reacting in a very small space. It will heal in time. If still burns after 3 days, see MD.

Go see an Ear / Nose / Throat (ENT) doctor. Stop putting the proxide in your ear. The doctor needs to check your ear out. If not, you may lose yor hearing in that ear. Call the doctor first thig in the morning!

Your ear canal is most likely infected.
I am wondering why you would put something in your ear when the label on peroxide usually states that it is for external use only?

The bubbling that you see from peroxide is a chemical reaction. Chemical reactions either take in energy or give off energy. You're feeling the energy being released in the form of heat. It's normal.

omg dont put it in your ear! my ear drum ruptured a few weeks ago and the doctor told me NOT to get any liquid in my ear because it would prevent it from healing. the peroxide is probably getting hot because it reacts with bacteria and theres lots of bacteria in your ear.
