well, for making moeny, u will need to make it exciting and interesting, u can make it about some celebrity or maybe about hollywood, or maybe about politics or amybe about the world of online jobs, all these are pretty famous topics, then u can advertise and get more trafiic and earn more money via google adsense and similar programs, all the best :)

Think of what web sites attract you when you surf the net and then you'd know what attracts people. You can build a forum or product catalog (online shopping) or a simple chatting site.

-Determine a theme
-Select a service(s)
-Set up your approach: do you want an aggresive approach where your adds are accompanied by adds that pop up in the users face, or do you want to create a flexible approach e.g users can customizing the content they are want to view.
-Add the bells and whistles.....it has to be interesting to catch peoples attention
-Publicize your site.....e.g include as many links so that you can attain a high quality rating by search engines
-Write regularly: update the site!

Make it about something you enjoy. If you do not enjoy what your website is about .. it will not be as good and get less traffic.
