Look at the picture in the manual... Follow the instructions exactly and watch your direction. It is usually an insert, like a small metal clip that the thread get's taken into, wrapped around and then fed out from but if the bobbin is backward (two holes on one side one hole on the other) for a reason... then you have to re-do it.
Also check your tension... if you have the tension on anything higher than 5 or 6 it will yank it right out.
Also make sure you have a good length of thread pulled out from under the plate at the arm and pull it off to the back of the machine at least a good two inches or more before starting.

Could be several reasons, the bobbin area needs cleaning.Dust and threads can clog up the thread plate.Another is you may have to take the bobbin out and rethread it,sometimes it doesn't catch in the notch.Or the needle might be in wrong, try taking it out and put it back, flat side to the back.Hold the needle thread in your hand and turn the wheel to see if it picks up the bobbin thread.Hope this helps.

Maybe you pushed the needle all the way up. To make sure that is the problem, please read the owner's manual.
