This system of levelling is really slow and I am level 2 1/3 now. I would like this acknowledged so people can tell exactly how boring my life is. Do you agree (with the top question, not that my life is boring) ?

No not really it might get too complicated, but I do think for all the time and brain power we put in to answering these questions we should really get paid, how about 10 pence a point, now wouldn't that be good!!!

I think that we should only have whole levels. If people want to know exactly how far you are they can click your avatar which will bring them to your Q&A and they can see your points. Personally, I don't think your life is boring. I love Yahoo! Answers! So does my best friend! Just because you like to help people and are point hungry doesn't mean you have a boring life.

No I don't agree - I just think they should make the level range smaller and create more levels. I recently got to level 4 and need over 2000 points to get to 5. It just seems the level system was designed to make your obsessed with getting to the next level and to start an addiction but once you get to Level 7 it is all over...its just points and no more level to aim for.

I couldn't agree more, there's a big jump between levels 2 and 3. It's a bit like on eBay where the third star level is 100-499 feedback :(

Do you have any idea how bad people are at math? Or, even worse, do you have any idea how good at math some people are? We'll have people at 2 3/8, 5 7/17, etc.

BTW, your life couldn't be any more boring than the rest of us who are answering this!

No.

I enjoy answering questions and having the opportunity to share my knowledge or express my opinion for all eternity.

The 5-6 and 6-7 levels are big jumps - 5,000 and 15,000 points respectively. I will give this my boy scout best.

No, that would really suck. Keep such innovative ideas to yourself, you never know when Yahoo is actually listening. They are probably going to use the answers to this question as a means to improve the service *question morphs into a survey*

What's the point. If you want to play the game just wait for your points to accumulate and your level will go up. Oh, and go out and have some fun.

1. The levels are useless.
2. What's the purpose for them anyway?

I guess you need to think your answers through, then, and get more best answers.

To answer your question, if anything, they need to make the levels stricter, to help keep out the riff raff.
