I'm not sure about India but they do it all the time here in the State and get away with it Most cops I have run across over the years have a Nazi mentality There a a few decent ones out there but that seems to be the exception. Most are some real A-holes that think they can do whatever the hell they damn well please just because they are cops

They don't have that right. But cops do it everywhere.
They still behave like the colonial force British created to keep people under constant fear. And our judicial system is not strong enough to handle this kind of situations. An ordinary citizen would find it difficult to give proof against cops. That is why even so many custodial deaths go unpunished. We will have to gradually change the system.

obviosly they have the authority
if u r on the wrong foot
tht is what it means to be a part of coercive
functions of the machinery which is controlling
this nation or ny nation rather.
but they too r bounded by law
if u think
someone was really unjust in excercising his power
then u can lodge a complaint for the misconduct
u should set him right n tell him about his limitations
of being a responsible citizen
