NO!!!!! Half Century of life behind me, I was a long-time single mom, had already gotten my own Associates, Bachelors and Masters Degrees (and got one of my graduate degrees while with a newborn AND on Active Duty Military), and raised my family -- NOW ... I am going BACK to College for FUN -- yes, FUN!
NEVER too old -- so many retirees are now in college to fun you will look like a youngster -- and don't even worry about being called "kid" because to folks my age and older (the retirees going to college for fun) you ARE a kid!

OMG NO!!! First, you're only 30! It's not like you're old! Second, you're never too old to go back to school and learn. If you are going in a traditional college setting where there are a lot of kids, they will really admire and look up to you that you are doing this and will be willing to help with whatever you need. It's a great example for them and for your kids. I understand that you're nervous, who wouldn't be? But once you get into the routine of classes and papers and so forth, you'll be fine. It'll probably get hectic around exams, but with two kids and work, you're used to managing that sort of thing. Good luck and congratulations!

No, you are not too old! I work at a university and right now we are going through registration and you would be amazed at how many older adults are returning to college. By older, I mean over 45! I encourage people of ALL ages to get a college education. First, it helps to increase your job opportunites. Second, it helps to sharpen your mind. Third, it broadens your perspective on various issues.
I say GO FOR IT! There are also numerous programs to help women returning to school. Check with the financial aid department at your univesity and they can help you apply for financial assistance.
If you are nervous about returning to school, find someone or join a club of working moms returning to school. This can be a great support group for you when you feel overwhelmed by your job, homework and children.
Good luck.

Absolutely not!
My mum never completed high school, went on to be a beauty therapist for over 10 years before deciding that it wasn't her path and heading to university in her early 40's
She's now a qualified nurse and loves every bit of what she is doing.
You're never too old to go back to school- just think- the older you are, the more life experience you will have had, which will only aid in your learning!!

I am 34 and just finished nursing school. I already have a job. It is very rewarding and the income potential is great. Most of my graduating class was in their 30's, some as old as 50.

I started college just before turning 40 yrs old. I will be done with it Feb 2007 with my AA in Business Management, ( it will only take me 17 month to complete). Consider going to college online, it will help since you have young ones. You can check out Western International University, they are an onlince college. It has been great for me. Check it out.

Oh, honey, never think you are too old to learn! You will find that the average in college these days is 30-something. You do what your heart desires and get that degree, no matter what. An education is extremely important for you and your future. You go girl!!!!!

Are u out of your mind??? I have people in my classes that are 40 and even 50! That is a great age to go back to school. First of all, your teachers are going to really love you becuz they know u will be serious about your work. You are more disciplined when you are older. I think this is a fantastic idea. Be sure to get you a strict study schedule, and you will do great. Please keep us posted. Also, what is going to be your program of study??

Absolutely not! You might find that, since you are older, it is more enjoyable to go!
It took me a long while to go back (I was in my late 30's when I went back), but if my financial situation allowed, I'd go back again in a heartbeat! I loved being in school!
Go back; you will be surprised just how much you know. Sure, you'll have to get reacquainted with grammar and stuff, but you can do it!
