They only live for a few days so I think they don't even get tired. They just die after a while, tired or not.

I'd also have to say, yes, but under certain situations.

I saw a tired fly once. I was evacuating a small jar once and I put a fly in it. I was using a bike pump to pull the vacuum. I could get it down to around 1/20 Atmosphere. The fly was able to fly. That surprised me. After about an hour or so the insect was only flying in very short burst then had to rest.

It seemed that the low atmosphere didn't affect it's ability to make flight decisions or it's ability to land as stay put either.

I left it over night and the next morning I found the bug upside down. After a little bit the fly was air born.

I think these guys should take over the world.

Yes, they get tired. Ever try to swat at a fly and it won't move? The darn fly is tired or near death.

yes they do!coz they have to stop flying when they saw some open food left behind.so thats the sign they are tired,gotta hve rest on the top of that food:)
