i am starting my high school next week..and i have decided to change my name...but i have already registered my original name to the high school form.
so....what should i do????should i go to school's office and tell them i have changed my name????
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

u have to do this legally,otherwise the school wont accept it.it costs 180 dollars in nc,i dont know the price where u live.u need a lawyer.he/she has to go to courthouse with u,record name change and reason for wanting to change it.must show ur birth certificate an soc.sec.# to clerk @ court as well.when name change legal in court,u must take document with new name to the soc.sec.dept and to the dmv to change card and drivers liscence to new name.well,u dont have a liscence yet,so that saves u one step.at ur age,i think ur parents would have to agree to it.before 9/11,u could go to the courthouse,pay a fee,and file the name change for urself,for reasons of security,a lawyer has to do it now,even if u are 13 or 14.good luck !!!! or u could just wait till u get married eventually....if u want it now,it can be done.

You cannot change your name, unless it is done legally. Depending on your State Court rules, you need to file various forms. This is not an easy task in California and if you are a minor, only your parents could do that for you.

You have to go to court and fill out a form to actually change your name. Why don't you just tell everybody to just call you by your new name/ nickname?

If you have official paperwork from a court then take it to the office and they have to change your name. If you haven't done this officially you can't just change your name!

go to the schools office or w/e or wait until school and teachers ask for nicknames and just say well my name got changed to .....

if your changing your name just intoduce yourselg to your peers with that name as long as its not like nicole when your name is ashlee i intuduce myself as manda or mandy my name is amanda so it works just dont make a fool out of yourself

get an afidavit from the court ...
but name doesnot matter whatever it is , it is u who matters...
