The SEND TO command for use with CDs just plain scares me, doesnt work everytime properly.

Insert a blank CD, cancel any windows popups or select TAKE NO ACTION.

Then double click on the CD drive from MY COMPUTER, and copy and paste your files into this window.

Once you are done select WRITE THESE FILES TO CD

Tada! and you are done :-)

The first thing to do when your windows PC starts behaving strangely is to "reboot" - that means restart your computer (Start menu > Turn off Computer > Restart). You'll be surprised how many problems that solves.
You haven't said where you are trying to save documents from: if you're trying to save documents from a web site, it's possible that the web site owner has set up their site in such a way that you can't do that.
You should avoid saving everything to your desktop. Instead you should create your own folders, usually as sub-folders of "My Documents" so you can categorise things for easier retrieval, for example "work" "study" "research" and so on.

It's possible that your computer can't detect the D drive. If you're familiar with computer hardware, you can do the following:

1. Check if the hard disk indicator light on the CPU lights up when you try to save something on Drive D.

2. Open the CPU and check connections (data/IDE port and power). The power (a four wire cable) or data cable that interfaces the motherboard and Drive D may be damaged or may need replacement. You may have any qualified computer technician to do the job, or you can isolate the problem by replacing the cable with another one. You can also change the power supply cable with another one - there's usually a vacant power slot inside the PC.

If you're not very familiar with computer hardware, it would be best to call a qualified computer technician.

That does not sound like a very practical way to save documents, burn each one at a time. You should save them to a folder in My Documents and burn them all at the same time when you have a complete 'set' of documents.
