I'm starting freshman year, I need a laptop with Internet, all the microsoft jadgets, and I need it to be FAST.
I don't want it to be too expensive because I have to pay half, and it's probably better for it to be a laptop.

I'm a Sophomore and I would suggest a Dell. They are extremely fast and easy to use. My laptop is very very quick and easily portable.

yes a dell is the best computer to get
I Have a dell lap top and my mom just got a 1200 dollar laptop for her self I got mine online on ebay for 465 brand new so its up to you but dell has great payment plans and is affordable and hasn't disappointed my family or I yet

I suggest going to a reputable computer store and explain to the sales person what you need and see what is suggested.
They should be able to tell you of computers on sale or with rebates. If you don't like what your hear, go somewhere else.

Just get something cheap, because whatever you get will be obsolete in a few years anyways.
Just, don't get an eMachines or some no name. As long as you get a brand name, it should last a while.
