You're still using pictures of a few people in one of the smallest islamic territories in the world to make a point about 1.6 billion people in the world.

I don't disagree with you - the silence of moderate Muslims is deafening and is a pock on the religion. There is no more vital time than now for Muslims to stand up and reclaim their religion by disavowing terrorists. Not enough of them do this.

However, using the horrific images you use is the exact equivalent of me posting photos from "Girls Gone Wild" and saying: "To Americans and everyone who believes America is a decent society...look at these pictures and tell me do you believe America has any morals at all?"

Funny thing, that's exactly what a Muslim extremist would do. Think about it.

Islam preaches peace in much the same way Christianity does.

Both contain the core concepts of tolerance and brotherly love in the text of the teachings, right alongside concepts of hatred and violence and the need to convert everyone to the One True Way.™

The issue isn't what the religion teaches. The issue is what people teach in the name of that religion. And there are people who teach and practice hatred and violence in the name of Islam, just as there are those who teach and practice hatred and violence in the name of Christianity.

And not just a thousand years of slavery and Crusades and Inquisitions and witch hunts and the KKK, but clinic bombings and funeral protests and hate-based rhetoric against anyone who is different. Christianity hasn't stopped the rhetoric among its members, despite having only 25% of the population of Islam and being in existence 700+ years longer.

So, if you are going to blame the entire religion for the radical criminal actions of a few who twist its words, you should hold other religions to the same standards.

Read what God is saying about it:
"Say: we believe in God and in what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il: Isaac, Jacob and The Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus and the Prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another, among them, and to God do we bow our will (in Islam)." (Qur'an, Al-Imran 3:84)
"The Jews said that the Christians follow nothing (i.e. are not on the right religion); and the Christians said that the Jews follow nothing (i.e. are not on the right religion); though they both recite the Scripture. Like unto their word, said (the pagans) who know not. Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection about that wherein they have been differing"[Quran Surah 2 AlBaqarah :113]

I am christian .I have Muslim friends in my country.[to your surprise] I used to go to Addis Ababa stadium where Muslimes celebrate major holidays[like MOWLID]. I go to their house, they come to my house eat, drink and have fun. From what I saw and heard,I've learned that there is no single word that preaches killing. For me, terrorists are not MUS LIMES. And let's not generalize all.."these are these". We must condemn extremism from all religions!!! And I believe, Parents & the community can make a difference by advising & persuading their loved onse to do goooood for mankind rather than VIOLENCE!!!!!!!!

I have no idea what Isalm has to say.. but how can a Christian blame them??? Look at how hard the catholic church tried to destroy every other religion????

People were burned at the stake, tortured, their homes taken by the Catholic church..

Let's look at the history of the Christians before we go pointing fingers at any other religion.

Not really a question? This isn't a discussion forum? Haha! What am I saying, well, as an Atheist I believe it doesn't matter what religious peoples' books say. They still do mostly the other stuff not mentioned in them.
