Definitely very close. But, I have to go for Band of Brothers as well. Excellent Series!

It'd have to be Band of brothers. I thought that you got to see alot more of the characters & It left you with a real concern for them. Although Saving private ryan Is also a true masterpiece

Band of Brothers, It may be the best made for television show ever produced. Private Ryan is awesome, don't get me wrong. You can Kill a whole rainy day watching Band of Brothers.

Band of Brothers.
The depth of the characters is what makes the difference. Saving Private Ryan is good because of the two battle scenes between which a so-so story is sandwiched.

They're both fantastic, so it depends on on if you have 15 hours of only 2. I own and watch them both on my big screen. FYI all you Band of Brothers fans. A new series from the creators of B.O.B. called The Pacific War is in production: "www.the-pacific-war.com" When is comes out, do you think we'll be debating Pearl Harbor vs. The Pacific War... I think not. Good question.
