Like someone said here its hard to smuggle/traffick coming from Columbia around the world. Its also classed as High Society drug so it comes with the terrority that the price is high - as Robin Williams (Ex Cocaine Addict) once said "Cocaine is God's way of saying you make too much money!"

Cocaine is so expensive because of all the people that are very greedy for money and want their cut of the takings. If you use cocaine you are just lining the pockets of drug dealers and they are enjoying the easy wealth that it brings them even while all around them people are suffering because of the harm it is doing in many people’s lives.

It's not as expensive as it used to be. The price is pretty much the same 20 years later. It's expensive in the first place because it's a money pit. You run out of the gram you bought at the beginning of the night and you want more, so off to the ATM you go. That's why I never did it too much. I'm glad I have a non-addictive personality!

Its a stimulant... is seen as sophisticated and associated with rich folk when its not in reality... bit like putting a harrods lable on Baked beans and charging twice the price.

firstly, cos it;s illegal and then secondly because ot comes from for away, mostly Columbia. The profits are huge, but so are the risks involved into exporting it.
I have see alot of people go down due to snorting this drug, it aint cool and it aint clever.
