There are 2 companies that make processors: AMD and Intel. Some people say intel is better, others say amd. Regardless, you should buy a good processor such as a intel pentium 4, or even a better one such as pentium d. I'm not sure about the names of the AMD's. Intel is the industry leader.

Pentium is by Intel. AMD can offer you somewhat cheaper alternatives to Intel. Go for it.
