He has ALWAYS been a Scientologist while in the public eye! After all of the joy he has brought us in the movies Top Gun, Risky Business, the Mission Impossible series, The Last Samurai, Jerry Maguire and others, are we so shallow that we have to judge him because of his religion and his unashamed delight in a relationship that makes him happy and has brought him a lovely child?! ALL OF THIS while we allow a well-known liar, murderer, and ignoramus cavort around the White House, unchecked! Stunningly and embarrassingly amazing!!

Tom has made a mistake by firing his publicist and hiring his sister, since then he has put his beliefs in a fanatical way to the public, whereas before he didn't. His behaviour as of late has gotten a bit outrageous, starting with his jumping like an idiot on the couch and then bashing Brooke Shields on National TV.
His former publicist would not have allowed such behaviour.Look at John Travolta, he is a scientologist but doesn't shove it into peoples faces. Tom needs to focus on his work which is as always exceptional but needs to either fire his sister or stop with his emotional outbursts himself.

Yeah, but the self proclaimed "decider" is another problem that yahoo likes to delete questions about. Just because there are multiple problems and multiple people in this world that are causing problems that hurt the welfare of Americans does not mean we should ignore one. Think of it this way. I think we forget the why the "couch jumper" is a problem. He bashed on Brooke. Brooke was trying to explain about postpartum psychosis and treatment. Andrea Yates killed her kids over this. Medication saves the lives of children and babies. Tom bashed on taking medication. People who bash on saving the lives of babies and children are bad. The "decider" is bad also as you clearly know. There may or may not be a child of the "couch jumper" I sure hope not. I think Katie is dear, but hope not, so she can get out more easily and a child is not brought in. How do you know a child is lovely if we do not know it exists? Yeah all children are lovely if they exist. Given the history of the EXes of Tom yeah 2 so far they are sad, but they got out of the cult. Katie has hope and she can come back to being Catholic again like Nicole.

I will give it, Tom Cruise is a great actor. If he would just keep his performances on the big screen, and not in his personal life, I think things for him would've gone better. This whole situation with Katie Holmes just wreaks of a setup. Since they aren't doing anything to correct the problem, what are we all left to think? He's so open and honest about how he feels for her, then WHAM! He shuts the door, and shows no one his new pride and joy. It's all very strange.

Look, I liked tom Cruise when he was yelling "show me the money" and out hustling Paul Newman in 'The Color of Money', but, he brought this all on himself. Now, I do not think that Paramount president, Sumner Redstone (?) should have let Tom go because of his feelings for his girlfriend, his beliefs or anything like that because, professionally, he has made them alot of money. I guess with Tom jumping on the couch at Oprah's, and then bashing Brooke Shields because she suffered from post partum depression, and then be around with Katie with no baby to be seen yet, Sumner thought that this would ruin his company's rep more then his. So, he let him go. Sad that happened but, what are you going to do about it? Besides, he has enough money to make his own company.

Mr. Cruise went downhill when he took cheap shots at Brooke Shields over taking medication to treat Postpartum Depression. The Oprah nation quickly went after him.

Mr. Cruise almost destroyed Nicole Kidman and is on his way to destroying Katie Holmes. I never liked him from Risky Business precisely for the above behaviors.

Tom Cruise makes his own reputation. Nobody does that for him. People are tired of him. I don't care who he dates, gets pregnant, or what movies he makes. Has he got a phd in psych? He is not the expert he claims to be. He may be a good person, an intelligent person, and a talented person. But when he does something that is really newsworthy, I'll check it out. In the meantime, he's not worth my time.

I love tom cruises movies, I just think they get to the point , they are so full of themselves with vanity, they sometimes forget they are "JUST" actors, we support there career by buying tickets, they are not our priests nor are they above us, when they were doing MEL GIBSON bashing , I did not like that either, we set them up to fall, then sit back and gleam when they do, its a catch 22.

I don't think he is a bad actor, I just don't like his actions. He is no better than the next person, but he acts as if he were Gods Gift to the world! Everything that has been happening to him, he brought it all on himself. If he didn't act like he was a recent escapee from a mental ward, he may not be treated like he has been.

If he is a such brilliant guy why he don't aloud to anyone to speak around his child , how she will learn to speak if she don;t hear nothing , she shall be mute for her entire life , even some men would love a such wife , she will suffer because his father stupidity , that reminds me lots and lots of children have suffered , suffers and will keep suffering because their parents stupidity or ignorance .

Know one wants to see Tom Cruise fail, but he really puts himself out there wtih his weird behaviour, ignorance, and religious rants about Scientology.I think there's a reason why people are told never to talk about sex, politics, and religion. It's a personal thing and you shouldn't push your beliefs onto others.
