it takes a long time to pop up sometimes, so u might have to be patient. if you've waited about a minute or longer and still nothing, try re-installing the program, that's what helped with mine.

Okay this helps me a lot, my uncle is the owner of apple ipod. I know hes chinesse, but he married my aunt. Well, You have to reset the Ipod. And all your music will be deleted off the computer. 12 easy steps.

1. Go to the start menu and click start
2. Click all programs
3. Look for Ipod (icon) and click on it.
4. It will open up, then it will say ipod updater, click that
5. Then it will open up again, then look for the latest ipod updater and then click that.
6. It will open up
7. Next you need to plug in your ipod and wait for the button on the opened box to say restored and in black writing
8. Click restore and then it will say are you sure or something like that. Then say yes/okay.
9. It will take a while.
10. When it is done restoring you need to change it to Windows or Apple type. I think you know what to do from there.
11. When you have done that your need toregister your ipod again.
12. Then after that you can put music on and then it will work

I hope this helps your problem! Good Luck

If not look on ipod support.

I have better luck when I have iTunes closed when I connect my iPod. In that situation, the iPod opens iTunes by itself and communicates with it just fine.
