Try going to cleanup.stevengould.org This a great free cleanup program, and using it along with ccleaner, as suggested previously, should really help keep everything nice and clean. If that link doesn't work, type in windows cleanup by steven gould in your search bar and that will take you to his website. Just make sure you don't change any of the settings on the program. Once installed, just hit cleanup button, and then yes when asked to restart your computer. Good luck.

If you have Win XP then you can open document & settings folder -> Open you profile -> look for a folder named cookies -> delete everything from this folder.
now look for another folder named Local Settings -> Delete everything that you can see under Temp folder, Temp Internet Files folder, History folder.
This would clear everthing on your machine related to Internet Explorer. I mean history, cookies or temp files
