You need about 3 meg to store a 3 minute song. Your 2GB has 2000 meg. Divide that 2000 by 3 and you get room for about 666 songs (less if you like longer songs and also put pictures with them.) If you download them for a dollar each that is about $666 you will have in there - don't lose it.

If you convert all your songs to MONO instead of STEREO you can cut the file size by about half, so you could fit around 900 - 1000 songs.

It depends on the bitrate and the length of each song but on average you will get about 500.
