Go on-line and bring up your history there. It should show up as a list on the left side of your computer. Use the right mouse click to highlight one of the folders (usually it will say Today, Yesterday, etc) and tell it to delete. That should get rid of it in your search window.

Tools>>>>internet options>>>>>Days to keep items in history should say something like 20>>>Change it to 1 and click apply then o.k.

Oh, do this
Start >all programs>Acesoeries>system tools>>disk cleanup>>press o.k. and wait

This also depends if your using XP,because of the hidden files thingy use my second option of you have XP.

Or try this---My Computer>>tools>>folder options>view>no show hidden files
then go to your harddrive (C:), Documets and settings>owner> temp files and delete them there.
