what irritates you most in your built environment?

Architecture is the "mother art", the combining of art and science. In its purest form, it is the culmination of all things good about humankind.

What irritates me most is the base commercialism (or sometimes outright laziness) that forces the construction of poorly designed buildings.

Architecture is an art, mixed up with a technology, just as music, paintig,cooking, carving or creating a new perfume.
Thinking is not only a verbal phenomenon. In the broad sense of the term, men can think with any of his senses: seeing (painting), hearing (music), tasting ,and smelling.
Immanuel Kant said that man can also think with his hands, and he was perfectly rigt. Greek statues were made with human hands.

it is the art of civil design. what irritates me is that houses and buildings are all square or rectangular.
