It is a love song and it sounds like it's from the 50's. The song is pretty simple - it's chorus is "Dum Dum, dum-a-doo-wah-be-doo-be-doo repeated over and over. The singer sounds like a young white guy...and no it isn't "come and go with me"

Sounds like it may be a Neil Sedaka song that he redid in the 70's or 80. Breaking up is Hard to do.
