So they why do we have people like this who want to ignore the fact that there are many more teachers that are sexual predators than there are preists. Going to school isnt much of a "choice". If you dont like preists then dont go to church, but what to do about the teachers?

I answered this questions with "should pedophile teachers be allowed to vote?" and of course someone reported me for not answering the question.

PS - did anyone see America's Most wanted last night, they talked about teachers being able to move from state to state and continue to molest children because of the lack of comprehensive background checks done on teachers.

Many of you obviously dont get the point of this question. It is completely Ok for people to slam preists for being sexual predators, but the second you mention teachers you get a backlash of hate. I am tired of the double standard, if you are going to call out sexual deviants why limit it to just religous? because our society no longer values religion, thats why. And teachers are veiwed as the new gods. They can do no wrong......right? wrong.

I call it like I see it, we need to be concerned about ALL pedophiles.

You bring up an important question, but why ask it that way. Why tie the Church's problems with what happens in schools??

My own opinion is that the Church's insistence on subverting natural human biology creates the very perversions we see there.

In the schools, it may be much more of a case of pre-mediated thinking that puts these people in contact with children. True pedophiles seek out children.

And you are correct, we are not doing enough to make sure these people don't leave one state to take up shop as teachers in another. There is really no excuse.

America needs to focus its money, its attention, etc. not on other nations, but on this one.

Yes, but church and school are different. Church is based on a religion, so you have an option to participate in that religion. However, going to school is law because our govt. want's the children to be educated. What they should do is just do checks, and believe what children say about teachers if they are molesting kids and that stuff.

Marriage is a civil enterprise which permits spouses many rights which at the instant are not obtainable to couples in kinfolk partnerships or civil unions. anybody need to have the comparable government-risk-free rights even if if or no longer they are in a existence-long committed relationship with a guy or a girl. additionally, civil unions or kinfolk partnerships at the instant are not sufficient to make specific that persons of all sexual orientations are assured the comparable civil rights. The splendid courtroom properly desperate that separate is inherently unequal, hence civil unions/kinfolk partnerships won't be in a position to be equivalent. the actuality that they are separated is a badge of inferiority. many faiths recognize marriage as a non secular enterprise as properly to a civil one. inspite of the undeniable fact that, church homes might pick which couples to marry. additionally, quickly couples are waiting to marry in a civil ceremony even if in the event that they do no longer look to be religious. it truly is because of the fact the U. S. does no longer have a countrywide faith; there's a separation of church and state

Going to church it not a choice, it is a commitment. Its like being in love, when you love the person you try to have time to give the person a visit. In this case, we are commited to the God's love for us, and thus we make time to visit the church.

The main purpose of going to church is not to visit the priest. The truth hurts, it bites! Some priest, who are human like all of us commit SIN, and its painful true anywhere since most of church goers have high expectations for priests. Its the same thing teachers in school committing SINs. My point is, this world is full of SIN. But who are we to judge?

According to Dr. Jose Rizal-Philippine National Hero, "The youth is the hope of our nation". We would lost hope everytime we hear children being abused/murdered/etc. The answer to all these can be REPENTANCE. Getting away from SIN can help us eradicate these painful facts we discover everyday in the news!

As Christians, its our duty to spread God's love and to live Christian way on a day to day basis. Lets pray to deliver us from evil and SINful situations.

Yes, going to church your choice, and the way you think is. But, not all priests are sexual predators. and not all teachers are. If we all thought the way you do , then our children wouldn't learn any thing. morals have to be taught in the home and church help make morals. You sound very anger with this world! may be you need to go to church and learn how to love people.

That's a tough one. Better background checks to include thorough personality exams that are prepared by FBI profilers who specialize in child molestation cases? I'm not sure. But I can say that with three kids in school myself, it is scary when school is not the safe haven we all fooled ourselves into thinking it was.

In many communities, no -- going to church is as expected (and almost required) as going to school.

In fact, I know many families that if they had to choose, they would only go to church.

That being said, any adult in a position of authority -- priest, teacher, law enforcement officer -- that abuses children under their care is irredeemable.
