I would have to say that Bush is in an elite class of morons.
No not all republicans are stupid or even self righteous.
They just need to lean back toward the middkle and bring back moderates like Tom Campbell.

(1) Bush is not stupid. He made 53M americans feel stupid.
(2) John McCain is not smart. Even if he is smart, he doesn't have the spine. He supported Bush in spite of the extreme smear he received from Bush during 2000. When Bush was very popular he says he supports the "President because he is doing good and people like him". When Bush got unpopular at 30% rating he says " I won't kick him when he is down". Basically he says he won't attack Bush anytime. That is not very smart, it is merely sycophancy.
I expect Evan Bayh to win the DEM nomination and the Presidency in 2008. All others have questionable records that can be challenged in a debate. Republicans have no chance in hell after the Bush disaster years.

Look here, I have heard every negative thing about George Bush that someone could hear. First you want to say hes part of the new world order and wants to take over the world, then you say hes an idiot. Neither are true, but if any of that were true it would have to be one or the other. And no, like anything else there are good republicans and bad republicans. That would be like saying all democrat liberals think, dress, and act alike.

The scary answer is that they are not stupid. It's that they believe they are right and no facts to the contrary will ever convince them that they are wrong. Bush suffers strongly from that and most conservatives are so entrenched in their beliefs that they will never consider anything put in front of them that contradicts what they believe.
McCain could be a great president. But he is now trying to suck up to the religious right and get their backing, when he should be turning his back on those nut jobs and bringing together moderate Democrats and Republicans who are the majority in this nation.
It's time to send the religious and atheist extremists out of this nation's political debate.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but stupidity is a bipartisan trait.
For the record, I'm about to switch my party registration to Democrat, which is really funny since I'm pro-life and pro-gun, but I figure more Dems might listen. And I do plan to vote for McCain if he runs in 2008, because I shudder to think what would happen if Hillary Clinton is running the show again.

Well Bush proved to be smarter than the two seditious dolts that the party of the seditious & sleazy (a.k.a. Democrats) put up against him...
The lib-tard news media had a lot invested in both the dolts and came up smelling like excessively used outhouses for their efforts... Now their whole raison d'etre is dump on Bush as the Plame-gate affair has shown...
"Did Special Prosecutor Fitzgerald Lie?"
"President Bush is suffering from Plame damage"
The first dolt, the "SUPREME GORON" flunked out of divinity school and the second dolt had a lower GPA than Bush and they both attended the same school...
"Gore's Dubious School Record"
"Yale grades portray Kerry as a lackluster student"
So its obvious you inability to come to grips with reality lables you as a parasitic lib-tard with a less than tenuous grip on reality...
McCain is a R.I.N.O. better off being in the party of the seditious & sleazy...

Perhaps you conservatives out there don'tr remember this or maybe you have a short memory, but it was turd blossom Rove who derailed Mc Cain in 2000. As a democrat I liked McCain until he started kissing the neo cons asses. At least he served his country and know's what war is about as to opposed to the mama's boy whose in there now.

Not unless all democrats are as assinine as Kerry was...Mccain tried to run before, and personally I think his ability to sway his thinking is what knocked him out of that race..but I agree with alot of what he says & does..
