What can I cover my windows with to keep heat out?

Double panelled curtains have not done it, and a thick shower curtain have kept it darker, but the sun still warms up my room.

You neen to invest in sun blocker shades, sold at many local retail stores like Walmart for instance.

You can install blinds and add curtain rods on top of the blinds where you can hang shirred or pleated curtains. The curtains do not have to be made of heavy material. Light cotton or silk curtains are fine. The blinds are the ones actually keeping the heat out of your house.

Any hardware store or your local Walmart store sells clear plastic window coverings. Frost King is the brand I use. Easy to put up And easy to remove in the spring.
