Many devices are 'plug & play'. Try to operate your printer NOT using the disk. It could be the drivers are already installed in your computer and the disk is not required.

To check this out: turn off the computer. Plug in the printer to the computer and turn the computer on. You should get a popup saying "New Hardware Found". After a minute or so, another popup should appear saying " New Hardware is Installed and Ready To Use". Another possibility is: a popup saying "Insert Disk that came with the device" , at that time insert the disk.

Good Luck !

if u still struggling. try unstalling everything u tried to install for your printer, drivers and so on.restart ur pc (so u can start from scratch)
u plug the printer from the computer
insert printer driver disc and install drivers and software.
if this completed successfully
turn off ur pc plug ur printer back in and turn on ur pc.
when windows loads up it will recognise ur printer.
and you should be able to print.

hope this helps
