The usual reason a PC is running slowly is that you have caught a virus or spyware.

Presumably you are not running antivirus softwatre, or it is not up to date.

Download comodo antivirus (free) , Ad-Aware and Spybot antispyware (both free) and run them.

Well, there are a couple of solutions to a faster computer.

1. Clean up your computer by going under accessories to system tools and clicking on disk clean up.

What this will do, is scan your computer. It takes between one minute and ten, depending on slow your computer really is.

What will come up is this window with a list of things. Some will be checked, some will not be. You can trust windows and click on yes- what it will do is delete these files. They are files such as temporary internet files etc.

A promt will come up asking you if you are sure. Click on yes.

2. Another opition you have is to defragment your computer. This is also under accessories, system tools, disk defragment. What this will do is also scan your computer. A box will come up telling you if you should defragment or not. If it says defragment, go ahead and defragment. What this will do to your computer is compress old files, making your computer running faster.

3. If you are using your computer for the internet, you should delete cookies.

Go to search or find.
type in "cookies"
after its done searching, delete all files except for the one marked indx or index. You'll know what one I'm talking about.

Cookies are little pieces of data that track where you have you gone on the computer and log it. They don't hold much value, but take up a lot of space.

4. Finally, you should run a virus scan. You might have spyware or a virus that is slowing down your computer.

If there is a virus then u have to get rid of ur windows.Otherwise u can increase the memory

then make sure you have enough of free disk space, at least 15%. then run diskeeper to defragment your disk.

Helps a lot, I just did all of the above and it is running like a charm.

dude there isnt ane way u can make ur pc faster without reinstallin ur windowz....even if u do erase all da progz even tht wont make it faster.....to achieve da maximum speed of ur pc u havta clean up ur drive in which da windowz is n thn reinstall it n make sure tht u dun put alotta progz in it coz its gonna makw ur pc slow agn........
