YES THEY ARE BAD FOR OUR HEALTH.

The frustration they cause makes the toxin levels in our bodies rise and that IS bad.

They hope to steer you to the website so they can fire even more of the people who used to answer the phone. Which would not be a bad idea because more than half the time they can't speak English well enough to be understood.
I'm getting irritated just thinking about it.
Maybe we could start a class action suit against them for damaging our health by deliberately adding to our stress level???

YES indeed they are very bad for your health!! My blood pressure goes through the roof and I smoke more and I get a pain in my arm while in a telephone queue. They should employ more people to answer the phones and then they would kill to birds with one stone if they did!!
Great question by the way .

I wouldn't mind so much - but when you finally get through you are usually talking to someone half way across the world who doesn't really speak your language too well.
Is that answer abusive - or is it just telling the truth?
And why is it that if you need to speak to them you are held in the queue - but they can call you at the most inconvenient times - and then get upset because you don't want to talk to them at that time?
Seriously bad for your health - we all need some time off!

Yes they drive me to distraction I always get the guy with the dodgy accent and being a hearing aid wearer I have the most difficulty understanding what they're saying. Now when I get one I just give up and put down the receiver.

They're bad for my blood pressure! You wait ages to speak to someone who turns out to be in Delhi, doesn't speak English, doesn't understand your accent and then takes offence when YOU have the cheek to say you can't understand them and ask to be put through to someone who can speak English.

mental health and nerves, YES!!! As for why we would want to visit their website, well it is bloody obvious that what we want to to TALK to someone NOT visit a website or we would have done that in the beginning.
