Yes it does. It messes with your sleep patterns so you are not getting the required sleep that you should be getting.

i work swing shift which is much worse but they do have a drug called progivil that works real good for me and i still sleep well it perks ya up ask your doc about it ya take it 1 hr before you shift

i would think that it would make you live longer rather than shorter because your eyes will adapt to the dark and you won't have as much of a chance of dying at night.

i dont know but i read somewheres that the more you sleep the less longer you live.maybe they just mean your sleepin your life away?
