I am going into seventh grade, and I know that I am a little bit "punk-rock" and "goth". I want people to like me, not think I am stupid or weird. Should I go with what I know I am, or change my look for conformity?

do a little punk so that people know that you ARE punk goth, but don't wear the whole chain black stuff or krazy punk looks. just let people know that you are punk without going over the edge (jeans with a punk shirt, goth shirt, or accesories). after a while when you have some friends that know you it'll be easier to wear what you normally do (total goth, krazy punk, etc)

Coolio- I just had my first day of 7th grade a few days ago- here is what I wore: leggings under shorts (since you can't just wear shorts-against dress code) I layered a tank and cute T-shirt, a big belt, and my hair is curly, so I used straightening shampoo to make it kinky, and put it is a low side ponytail 9it was sooooo cute-it sounds crazy, but just try it, everybody gave me compliments) and a polka dot head band. But I am sorry, I have no goth ideas. I am a very happy, sunshiney dresser!

I am in 7th grade too. I would wear jeans and a vintage tee that has like a band you like or something. That way you will not look too goth and also show your style.Don't chage your style just because of other people just don't be too much of it.

Never conform, be yourself. Otherwise others may not think you're a weirdo from the outside but you'd feel like you were a weirdo in a costume! You should accept yourself as you are and if others don't, screw them. You don't want to befriend them anyway.

How about a jean and a nice shirt and a jacket? I would be myself if I were you. Sure it's not easy being yourself with all the pier presure and stuff, but if everyone is the same, how boring would life be?

you should always be your self (even if some people don't like it) you will always find some one who wnats to be your friend. but if you wnat to be like "popular" then wear something like a cute mini (if your school lets you.) denim and light wash, and a really cute shirt (somethin from hollister or abercrombie perferabley)with a super cute big belt. or if you want a litle punk you can wear a tie as a belt instead.

be yourself but dont go over the top. i know in my school its very common for people to dress "punk rock" or "goth." if you're going to try to meet people you dont want to scare them off by being extreme but you want them to know what kind of person you are so definitely go with what you know you are.

School is a place for learning, not for showing off your personal (not to mention questionable) taste in music. Blue jeans or slacks, Polo shirt. Be normal, be accepted, learn things, become educated, graduate, go to college, THEN act like a fool. That is what college is for.

i was in this situation last year, except im not goth im a bright color person. i would wear jsut jeans and a tee shirt which gives people an idea of who you are, maybe one of ur favorite bands or something. and dont forget ur lucky undies hehe :)
