They are from different cultures.

By "more black, but not in terms of skin tone" I'm assuming that you actually mean "of Black American culture" so there's not even a contest here. Samuel was raised in and has been living in the US so of course he is "more black" than Nelson, who has not had any exposure whatsoever to Black American culture.

Why? Because in Africa, tribal affiliation is the important cultural signature, not "blackness". Nelson is Tembu of the Xhosa, not the Zulu nor Motembo nor Nguni nor Swazi. And likewise, since Whites are the minority there, their bond is the color of their skin rather than their ancestry, so all established white culture is "Afrikaaner."

As far as I know, there is no other description for "Black American" cultural values than "Black" or "Black American" and yet people get all uptight about it. America has never been homogenous - there are German and English and Italian and Native American and Mexican cultures, can anybody say that Black is not a culture? If you don't call it Black or Black American, what do you call it?

That's a silly question they are both people why does it matter who is more "black" Why do we judge people like that. Why can't we say who is the most feared or the most intelligent or the strongest? Why do we always judge people on the color of their skin. That's what the klan does and we all think they are stupid how come other people get away with questions like this?
I think Samuel L. Jackson is the most powerful and Nelson Mandela is the bravest.
Remember that the color of the skin does not dictate the content of the character!!!!!
