The growth and height potential of a child is determined largely by genetic factors.
The target (midparental) height of a child can be determined by calculating the mean parental height and adding 6.5 for boys. Most children will achieve an adult height that is within 8 cm of their target height.
Another important parameter in determining growth potential is bone age, which is a measure of skeletal maturation. X rays can determine the ultimate height potential because they indicate when the bone might keep on growing or the skeletal maturation is complete. A delayed bone age indicates that there is residual growth potential.
In your case, the best you can do is going for a consultancy in order to determine with X rays if you are still able to grow beyond your normal stature in relation with your parents’ average.
If you still have potential to grow, then you may go to a specialist and follow a Growth Hormone treatment that needs to be careful monitorized. Nevertheless, you will not be able to achieve the 1, 75 cm that you wish.
Once you have done the treatment to add up some extra centimeters if you do have still the potential to grow further, still exist another procedure to get between 8 and 10 centimeter extra.
In summary, first try to get the best of your growing if you can still do it with some medical help. After the growing is completely finished – also verified by a qualified physician – then you can go for a surgery.
It takes long time and patience, but it certainly gives results. The technique varies with the center you go but basically consists in a surgical fracture of your both leg bones, gradual stretching since muscles and many other structures have to get stretched as well, and several months afterwards, you will get the wished 1,75 ( 3 cm more or less might also occur )
It became a quite popular procedure in China, and indeed achieves very good results and esthetically accepted wounds.
Start saving money, the stretching procedure takes long rest, exercises, and means many month of living without work.
Thanks to modern technology, your wish can become true.
I hope this answer can be helpful for you,

This depends primarily on the genes you inherited. There are many men who continue to grow in the early 20s. My grandfather, for instance, grew an inch AFTER he got out of the army, and my father and brother both achieved significant growth after age 18. As a general rule, the later you go through puberty, the later the last growth spurt.
You are certainly in the average size range, so no doctor would entertain the idea of supplemental growth hormone, so don't even try that. I like the above suggestion of Tai Chi. May help the hormones secrete, or work better, plus help your posture and self-confidence, which is better than actual height anyway.

I doubt it. I don't know in metres, but I gained 1/2 an inch about 10 years ago - went for a bone density test and I was told that I was 1/2 an inch taller than I have ever been in my life. I was practicing T'ai Chi, and I have to believe that did it as I was told it increased bone density. I also lost 14 lbs.

Not normally.
If you think your bones are getting longer and making you taller have an endocrinologist check you. You might have a tumor on a gland that is causing excess hormone production.
If you dream that you will stop being below average height that won't happen at your age. Look at your parents - if they are short too that's your future. Your height is not so terrible even right now.

Why don't you just accept yourself for who you are. Everything you are worrying about doesn't matter.
When it comes right down to it, what matters is what's in your heart.
A decent girl will select someone 5-4 1/2 with a good heart over someone 6-0 that's a jerk any day!
If that's all that's bothering you then your in great shape!
