I wouldn't turn off a firewall to watch a movie. If that is what is required find some other way to watch movies. First the computer company is saying that is a software problem with the movie company.... shift blame, they all do it. Second the movie company is blaming a firewall... shifting blame again. If there is a problem with firewalls the movie company should tell you what you need to look fore. Firewalls aren't new, so the movie company people should design their product to take them into account. Under no conditions should you have to turn off the fire wall to get movies to play on your computer.

If you are using Windows XP

start > control panel > windows firewall

click on it. A window firewall setting box opens.

Well if you have Windows XP SP2 (which you most likely have) there's a built in firewall there. Start--control panel---security center would help you out. Also you may have a router or a modem that has a built in firewall.
