Sometimes, especially when my family is honouring the spirits of our dead ancestors through ceremony. Problem is, such ceremonies are open to all dead spirits regardless of familiar bond (or lack thereof). To be honest, I don't breathe easily until the ceremonies are over -- I'm happy to have my grandfather come by, as I'm sure he does, but all those other spirits we don't know? Frankly, it's time for them to go.

Difficult question.
I believe in ghosts in te sense that I saw one when I was nine or ten yars old. I can still see il coming out of the cellar and crossing the kitchen. There is no doubt about that.
I don 't beleive in ghosts because I KNOW that the ghost I have seen was a figment of my imagination.
I was very nervous and anxious when I was a youg boy, and terribly afraid of ghosts. Hence I had to see one!
It is a general phenomenon. When people were obsessed with the Virgin, many saw the Virgin as clearly as I have seen my ghost. Now than people are indoctrinated with flying objects, the Virgin has been detroned by more prosaic celestial protagonists.
Maybe God and the Virgin do exist, but nobody has ever seen them.
The problem is different whith flyng sausages. If they exist, they could be seen, beeing no supernatural bodies. But I won't believe in their existence before the crew of one of them manifests itself clearly, instead of playng hide and seek with us.

What people perceive as "ghosts", are in reality usually just figments of their imagination, or wishful thinking. When we die, that is it... FINAL....HOWEVER.... I believe that It is possible to see that projection of another human being across the barriers of time and space at certain times of day, i.e. upon awakening and in some instances upon going to sleep. these projections however are carried out by the 'living' and not the dead. The fact that someone may perceive the apparition of a loved one after the fact of his or her death does not necessarily indicate that the projectioin occurred after death. The state of mind necessary in order to either project or to perceive a so called phantom image or ghost is one of "reverie". This reverie is available to us whenever we awaken, and is also available to a person that is on their deathbed. it is almost always devoid of emotion and rather 'matter of fact'. When fear comes in to play with the vision of a ghost, the so called ghost then dissappears.
This is actually quite a complex matter and well beyond the narrow scope of most of the participants in yahoo answers. I only answer this question because I have many years of first hand experience with the phenomena. I do not even bother to report it to friends or associates anymore because I realise that they do not have the capacity to comprehend it at all. Personally anyone that tells me that they have seen a ghost, I just consider to be either deluded or a liar. I imagine that the phenomena that I speak of shall perhaps forever remain a mystery to the masses.
If one really wished to cultivate the ability to 'see'...such things, I would recommend that they work with their dreams for a period of time , say six months to a year writing them down as many as 8 per night . After a while the phenomena will perhaps be available to them ocassionally upon awakening .
Good luck to you all..

There are so many things that we don't know about the human mind and body, We also have no Idea about the electrical impulses that the human mind and body gives off in the form of energy, and what effect that it has in or on our environment. Yes ghost do exist. It is said that our energy field is caused by some sort of chemical reaction, and we also know that they are the creation of many forms of energy which can never be destroyed. Many people have made up reasons for the existence of ghost and why they are with us. But, What do we really know about them, And why they are here with us. And why does their energy field has such an effect on our energy field.

yes, i believe in spirits. When my father died he came by and ran a finger that was colder than ice on the bottom of my foot. Thing is my foot was under 4 blankets.
Also , animals are a good clue. My dogs followed someone that came in our front door all the way to the back of the house.
No one was there that could be seen.

No, I don't believe in ghosts. I think it is another rumor made up by people trying to figure things out. I believe that we do have a soul and it does go up to heaven or down to hell when we die, But to think that is stays on earth to roam free and maybe even "haunt" people is a just little crazy. As for those pictures of "ghosts" there are so many explanations for what took place. First of all, Photoshops and darkrooms are used to change many of them. Second of all, Gases and Other Substances in the air are different colors and shapes through the camera's eyes as apposed to our eyes. Im not telling you what to believe in, just stating the facts.

No, I have not experienced spirits, although that does not necessarily mean that they don't exist.
I also want to correct a typo in an email address which I previously gave you. The correct address is : www.unitedgames.org. I had dropped the t, although you probably had figured that out already. Cheers.

I've heard and seen too many strange things not to believe. My great-grandmother was visited by my great-grandfather 4 years after he died. My parents own what used to be a nursing home, and many of the residents never left. One lady who works there has heard voices down the hall. One time she yelled at them, "Stop it! You're scaring me!" and they stopped. She was the only one there at the time. Finally, one time I was helping her with a luncheon, and I saw her turn on the coffee pot. We went to bring out coffee, and the pot had turned itself off halfway through the cycle.
