For example, If I created my OWN reality, I could logically argue that I believe the sky to be yellow with purple polka dots. That is MY reality of how I perceive through MY senses. However, REALITY as it exists AROUND us says the sky is "blue", and if you do not agree, you are considered "crazy" or "abnormal". So, is it possible to think on a different plane where YOU believe you're creating your own reality, where REALITY that exists AROUND you doesn't try to influence YOUR perception of reality? Ultimately, who's right?

both, kinda. YOU create your OWN reality, though REALITY may influence the path YOU take.

Neither.
Accepting that the sky is blue whether or not you see it as yellow does not mean that reality creates you. Reality is (should that "is" be in capitals?).
Its actually a bad example, but leads into my point (there is one - keep reading!), as the blueness of the sky is one of perception. The perception can be yours whilst the perceived object can still exist and have its attributes independent of you.
The sky "is" not blue. The sky is a collection of gases surrounding the planet. This is completely independent of both you and your perception of it. Because of the nature of these gases, light and the positioning of everything causes a perception of blue in most individuals. This perception has to be explained by reference both to the nature of the sky and the nature of the individuals (their eyes, brains etc) perceiving it. Without a perceived object and a perceiver there is no perception - so you need both to deduce the "Blue".
If you perceive the sky yellow when everybody else sees blue this, naturally, says something about you (you're brain or eyes are wired differently, your ripped to the **** on acid or whatever) but says nothing about the nature of the sky.

We create only different illusions. Or, more precisely, we are put in different illusions by the material energy as we try to enjoy this material world. Our main illusion is that we think we are this body. We think "I am a man. I am a woman. I am black. I am white. I am American. I am Indian. I am this. I am that." But these are all illusions.
The reality is that we are not this body. We are spirit soul, in quality one with God, and we have our eternal identity in the spiritual world. The identies, "realities" that we create here in this material world are simply illusions, because they are based on the wrong bodily consciousness.

VERY GOOD QUESTION
I read somewhere that the reality is what our collective consciousness creates the reality. It is our collective consciousness that makes creation a possiblity.
You see by the quantum physics it is proven that our universe is a very probable entity. And all its possiblities are due to our collective consciousness.
So in layman's language we create our reality. The We is all living beings bound as one.

Reality as perception, we create for ourselves. Reality in the physical sense creates us.

if reality created us, we cant really say that we have our own life can we now?..if reality created us life would be like a movie, if we were ment to die we have to die, we cant get out of the cars way if it was about to run over us, we cant make our own choices, our life would be already planned, so we dont really have any choices to make or any free will....
i bealive we create our own reality cause we can choose what we want even though life throws unnexpected things at us,

Yes, we do create our own reality. The universe is as we perceive and internalize it. If we create our own reality, then, we have the power to direct or reshape it; guided by our own moral compass and applying our own conscience & ethics.
