Ford has been making Flex-fuel vehicles longer than any manufacturer (since 1995) & untill recently, E85 fuel has not been readily available to the public.

Ford has also produced & is testing fully electric mail delivery trucks in california

Ford has also produced the 1st hydrogen fueled vehicles (being used in a limited area due to the lack of re-fuel capability) these are people movers in Florida (like a 'pace bus' at airports & tourist areas, so the can supply fuel)

Ford also has a Flex-fuel Hybrid in "research & development"
and the 1st Tri-flex fuel vehicle is also in R&D and both of these vehicles are currantly touring at Auto Shows all over the country.

The problem with alternative fueled vehicles is getting the fuel to them. Untill we develop alternative fuel infrastructure,,,,,,our vehicles can only run on whatever fuel is available to them at whatever price.

Why do you think so many are finally investing in Ethanol?
There are MILLIONS of vehicles on the road that can use it but it is only recently becoming available mainly in the midwest.

you will see vehicles that can run on any combination of :Hydrogen-Ethanol & Gasoline & they will also be Hybrid/electric....
