After his comments about making New Orleans a "chocolate city" again and his recent statement attacking NYC for not being able to fix the "big hole in the ground" - ground zero construction site/ former World Trade Center site, I have serious doubts!

He appears to me as a dark skinned racist and not an educated one either!

How could the people of NO re-elect the man who abandonded the city during the Katrina tragedy? Why won't he take at least some responsiblity for not doing what he SHOULD have been able to do to protect his city & citizens!

rrticulate1- LensCrafters, clever but that doesn't change the man's statements & the fact he did not do his job for all the people of New Orleans including the majority blacks.
I am not familiar with this other person you are speaking of but I believe the state governor has a lot of explaining to do also. As well as Pres. Bush.
What they allowed to happen to these people is inexcusable. Doesn't make any difference about the color of their skin.

Bad M: if you going to take people to task for not being educated, at least take the time to proof your question before hitting the submit button.

ADDITIONAL ANSWER: Bad_M: I'm not sure why this has to be personal. I saw the 60 minutes piece, and Nagin took responsibility for not getting those people out of there. You write "he is a dark skinned racist" Think you need to make an appointment at LensCrafters. Do I agree with everything Nagin says or does, no. But I think of one former big city mayor that actually did more and said more than Nagin, but no one wants to discuss that.

He is just another lying racist politician who won't accept responsibility for his failures - only it isn't PC to say that because he is a black man. If he was white & did the things he did & said he was going to make it a "bleached wheat flour" city don't you think he would be receiving much more criticism than Nagins received???

It is amazing that if you are a minority, you can't be considered a racist! Racists come in ALL colors of the rainbow!
