I have a 1993 Nissian Skyline R32 GTS-T that I bought for $2,000 in Okinawa, Japan. I'm looking to import it into the U.S. I was wondering if there was anybody who had any information as to if I could bring this in as a Kit Car and who would I have to contact. Does anybody know if the Nissan dealerships in the U.S. would help with conversion or importation of this car.

Always wanted to bring one of those over. I would call US customs and check with them. I believe there is a large fee and a lot of emission mods you have to do. The car is hot though totally worth it.

You can't import it.

Non-conforming vehicles can ONLY be imported by an importer registered with and certified by the US DOT.

There is only one such importer for the Nissan Skyline and they will NOT import a vehicle that you purchased privately.

Nissan dealers have no involvement with the importation or conversion of non-conforming vehicles.
