it hurts even if you have them thread, pluck or wax. waxing is the most painful. after sometime, you get used to it. my eyebrows have tried all. i like waxing but threading is better because waxing pulls your skin and less precise. have some professional do it for you. it may hurt more if done at home by yourself.

It hurts a bit the first couple of times you have it but the pain is only for a few seconds, after you have waxed an area a few times it doesn't really hurt.

The first time you have your eyebrows waxed you feel it but as you go more the pain gets less - you get desensitized to it so not for long. And when the initial shock of the first bit is over its ok.

Not as much as plucking, which I do. And it only really hurts once, then you maintain. Those tape removal strips you can get at like Family Dollar are really good once you've done the waxing or plucking.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.
A review of the various hair removal methods is available at http://tinyurl.com/ob6tt

It depends on how high your pain thresh-hold is, I had it done once and didn't like the way it made my eyes water so i pluck mine now,it means I'm in control and its cheaper too.I get everything else waxed and it doesn't bother me, I think its very hygienic and its over in minuets. It also lasts quite a long time.
