I've posted before about how I was having trouble getting this pregnancy confirmed as home tests dont work with me until I'm around 10 weeks gone. I'm due to have blood taken for testing on tuseday but I started bleeding on Friday aft. Until this morning it was just a pinky brown discharge with small clots in. I had really bad cramps yesterday morning. I've also had really bad back pains for 4 days. Today I'm actually bleeding (very lightly) although the blood is quite dark still, but I'm passing large clots and one I just passed had some grey tissue in it and I'm cramping. Can I assume I've just miscarried again (this will be number6)? I will still have the blood test done on tuesday, will they still be able to detect a pregnancy if I miscarried today? I cant get it checked out unless I get a positive result. Oh and the pregnancy symptoms seem to be disappearing, boobs really not sore that much and nausea not present as badly as it was. I'm not going to the loo as frequently either.

I have been to a recurrent miscarriage clinic. They could find no underlying reason for the miscarriages. Its just put down to bad luck.

Sounds like a possible miscarriage. I am so sorry. But the hormones that are measured during your pregnancy test gradually go away over a period of weeks, so if you were pregnant, you should still get a positive on your test if it's as early as next week. At least then you'll know for sure. My thoughts are with you.

Hi,

About 3 years ago I had a similar problem, my pregnancy had not been confirmed by a test but I knew that I was. However after being a little stressed, I started to pass clots similar to your description but there were only two. The next day i went to the ER and the unrine sample read positive, I told them what happened and they performed an ultrasound. You know what, they did not see a baby. I had miscarried. I wrote all of this to let you know that things will work out for you, but do go to the Dr. You might need a D&C to clean your cervix.

P.S. Don't give up on trying to have a baby. I would also discuss with the physican if you have any other health problems causing you to constantly miscarry.

it may be a delayed period. But if you were pregnant yes they can tell by the blood levels. Also, if you werre having "symptoms" they wouldn't go away right away. Usually they stick around even for the next month or so.

If you follow an ovulation calender that usually works and when you feel hey maybe I can be pregnant try to keep it moderate when it comes to stuff like not to much movement I know it sounds funny but a calm body can help you conceive especially if you have problems.

Also, get a second opinion maybe you might have a cyst or something.

Good Luck!

Also in response to Paul. Or bodies are atomatically on self abort mode being they are not used to the "foreign object" in your system. That is why you are at risk the first 3 months your body tries to reject the fetus. Alot o the time it succeeds and we dont even know it.

it SOUNDS like a miscarriage... but you didn't say how late your period was this time...

i would suggest that you see an infertility specialist (endocrinologist) before you attempt to get pregnant again. when people have reoccuring miscarriage in the first 12 weeks a specialist will usually put you on a hormone during your first 12 weeks of pregnancy. it's called "PROMETRIUM" it adds progesterone to your system until your body is GUARANTEED to produce it's own. you may just have a slight hormone problem during pregnancy that is causing you to miscarry.

and as far as a quantitative beta test goes... the pregnancy will probably NOT show up at all by tuesday's test if you have miscarried over the weekend.

please, check on getting yourself an endocrinologist!

When I was 16 I had a miscarrige and the doctors said there is no exact reason they do just happen. I was in alot of pain, and alot of blood, and clotting and pain you can still get a positive result i did the next day but i do believe you can still go to the doctors, and they will be able to tell they can do an ultrasound

Go to the hospital. Tell them what is going on. If you are pregnant, and get a blood test on tues, then the they can still detect hormonal levels in the blood.

Just wanted you to know: 40% of all pregnancies terminate spontaneously. The medical term for this is (I'm not kidding) "abortion", specifically "spontaneous abortion". Now do what the other smart ladies are saying on here and go to the hospital NOW!

I wouldn't be on the computer asking this....I would have already left for the ER and called my OB/GYN on the way to let them know. Get to the ER now.
