I got one for parking down the end of my own road at 8 am on a saturday, didnt even realise it was a single line.
meanwhilst about 20 people get away with parking on double yellows on the junction at the other end of the road every evening!! stupid little warden chavs on their gay little mopeds out for their little fix!!! i wish theyd do their job properly and check the road when theres a genuine problem in the evening after 6 rather than getting an innocent resident on a 1 off cos he had nowhere else to friggin park when he got home the night before!!

...well, my hubby went to help his best friend move house, he parked on the high street and paid for the max of 2 hours (oh this was london) then went into m & s to ask them permission to park the van at their bins, wear his friend lives (on 3rd floor) he went 4 mins!! over the 2hours max and came back to find a 40 quid greeting card from london council. him being as cross-grained as he is...waited till the fella walked by and from the 3rd floor where he was blowing off steam poured a bucket of cold water on the warden, got him full on! he laughed and said that was worht the 40quid, the warden said nothing, looked sheepish and walked on. i told my hubby that was not very nice, but well, he felt quite right about it...
