Are the choices limited to modern languages?

Latin is good as a springboard to others.

Among the modern languages, maybe Chinese?

Spanish if you live in America. French if you live in Canada. If you live anywhere else, study either one of those.

Your 3rd choice can be Chinese. I think those are the 3 most used languages in the world besides English.

It is my understanding that if you learn proper Spanish that is is very easy (as a language scholar especially) to learn Italian and Portuguese and French. So if you'd like to speak many languages maybe that would be a good place to start.

the atmosphere is worm?
is what you said in your poem...
well that poem got me...
so i say, finish learning English,
next what country do you live in?
a lot of Spanish in the USA
Mexico is very close you know..
(Canadians already almost speak English)
but i seriously suggest you study the dialects of English...
like as the British speak it... the southern states of America vs the north...
new york has an accent...
and California...
and teenagers have almost a language of their own!!!
the atmosphere was warm... ok typo... but i loved the poem!
