To get the most of your stay; prepare. Decide where to go and read history. Get as much knowledge as possible. Make sure it is safe to go (middle-east and all). Single girl - travel with someone - not alone. Make sure you have your valuables close to body. Watch out a little, just as so you are aware.
Make sure your passport and visa is ready before you go. You need dollars - preferrable small bills for tipping. I'd also bring some desinfectant-napkins in my purse, because the risk of unhygienic situations (especially dealing with Egyptian money) is there. Make sure also when you eat; cooked food and "clean" restaurants.
I am sure you will have a vacation to remember. Very exciting country and alot of things to experience. Scubadiving, pyramids, luxor, mount Sinai with the convent of St. Catharine and the burning bush. Desert and people.

You will need a passport which you can get from a post office.
You will also need a plane ticket which you can get from a travel agent.
