I think people fall into ruts because they are more attracted to the "comfortable" instead of change. Change, no matter if it's for the best, or for the worst, is very uncomfortable. It shakes things up. So you get into a routine and a pace that you like, and look up 2 days, 2 weeks or 2 years later and realize you've been doing the same thing over and over and over.

Sure, I get into ruts. Sometimes, I think I do it on purpose, because getting jolted out of them, while not comfortable, can be a lot of fun sometimes!

I did, for a long time. When I got out of high school, I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life, and I got stuck in a rut for 3 years. Then I came to Job Corps. It's a little strict in a lot of it's ways, and I ger frustrated sometimes, but I'm getting certified and earning my chef's license. So it's not so bad. The program was free, which was a good thing, because about a year ago I tried to go to college and it didn't work out, cost too much.

I've been in an ever deepening rut for twenty years.
My new rut (19 months old) pays me the most.
I'm hoping, scrimping and saving to get out of a rut. Anyone want to help?

all of us get there. i like to alter the two cuts of meat, or conflict by ethnic factors. working example... yeah we devour countless rooster breasts, so how approximately switching to thighs. rooster Marengo made with thighs. possibly it is new. How approximately stuffing a beef butt with a bread stuffing and roasting fairly of those breaded beef chops you're used to. Now we could spend it sluggish cooking as though we've been in Louisiana ... A gumbo, blackened fish, oyster stew. or perhaps circulate to Jamacia and make Jerk, or meat patties. How a pair of weekend in San Francisco.... Ciopino and sourdough. You get the assumption. one element I do to maintain out of the rut this time of twelve months is a various soup each and every week. Onion, Black Bean, Gumbo, Turkey noodle, vegetable,Beer/cheese, Clam chowder (the two New England and long island), Corn chowder. it is infinite. No rut right here.

Yeah, today is more like yesterday than we imagined it would be. Most of us lack adventure in our lives. But the rut is safe, we've been there before an know how to navigate there. So sometimes we choose the safe way.

everone who has an ounce of sanity left feels as if they are stuck in a rut, OR they are terrified they are going to fail. One or the other, seems to be no middle ground here.
