I know someone who says he's in a serious relationship with someone, but he constantly cheats on her.

He claims they weren't serious at first, but after hanging out with each other, they became serious. But he cheats on her. He's been cheating before and while they are "serious".

How serious can someone be if they cheat on that person? He is too immature to know what a serious relationship is.

men and women cheat because even though you are in a serious relationship, that does not mean you will never be strongly sexually attracted to someone else. in most relationships i've been in, i've still fantasized about other men (coworkers, friends, men i pass on the street). however, i chose not to act on these impulses because i made a commitment to whomever i was with. many people who cheat lack self control and believe they are entitled to have whatever or whoever they want, regardless of who gets hurt.

Men are more insensitive and adventurous by nature. Due to the lack of sensitivity, they'll always tend to undermine the hurt that their girlfriends would have to deal with upon finding out the truth.
Many tend to be afraid of all the fun they'll miss out when committing to a single girl. Hence, they cheat even though the girl means alot to them.
More than often, they'll only truly regret it when the love of their lives discover their unfaithfulness and leaves them.. and hopefully, that'll prevent them from committing the same stupid mistakes again.

I think we all know someone like that. He swore up and down he loved his wife and no one could come close to her. But he cheated on her constantly. His reason was because she didn't give him all in the bedroom like he wanted. In the end, he did find someone else to replace her in his life, but guess what? He cheats on his new woman just like he did his wife so I guess once a cheater always a cheater lives on.

Some guys are just afraid of commitment to a woman, it's like this big scary thing to them oh when will they grow up?...it seems that this guy dosent really know the meaning of the word serious.

It's in his genes. The urge to reproduce. Remember the old saying, Momma's baby, daddy's maybe. All males have that urge. It's up to them to control it.
If a guy could be absolutely sure his mate wouldn't cheat. He would be more content with her. Perhaps she flirts or does something to cause him to be insecure.

its not always that the guy is not serious enough and just lying about that its just bcoz that he wants a chng in his sexual life and thus opts for a new girl.just like a married husbabnd goes to a prostitute. i mean it if a guy is serious then the other girl in his life is just like a sex object.how so ever serious she may get he wud one day dump her!and moreover if his own gf supports him then i am sure that he wud never leave her bcoz he wud feel guilty enough of ditching the one who luvd him so dearly
