Not a particular problem, just get a new boyfriend who will rough him up a little. And change the locks.

OR wait till he's out THEN get the locks changed. Then if he tries to get back in, call the cops.

But seriously, you need to get this sorted RIGHT NOW because every day he stays there, just makes him think that everything will be OK.

If you think he might turn nasty, have a word with your local community policeman. What he's doing is a form of bullying, and inappropriate.

When he is at work, put all his stuff out on the front yard. Then get a lock smith to change all locks in the house. Leave the guy a note on his stuff saying....."I told you I wanted you out." If he bothers you, call the cops. If you are afraid of the guy. ask the cops to drive by a few times when he is expected to get home from work.

Also before doing this I would as many times as you can, leave him a note about evicting him. Have him sign it. If he won't just keep leaving him notices, and date them. Maybe have your camera phone take a picture of him refusing to sign the papers.
Make sure you have proof behind you. Text message him, whatever you need to do to establish the fact that you have asked him to leave.

Good luck

You offered this man a home and now you want to kick him out. If you were a man kicking a woman out your answers would be so different. I feel you should help this man find a place of his own - it is so bad to throw someone out on the streets.

A solicitor would be the best person to speak to regarding your position because it will all depend on how long he has lived with you - he may be entitled to half your house.

I hope you can settle your problem without too much pain

There is too much missing from your question to be answered here.
(1) do you own the house outright or is it your name on the mortgage?
(2) has he been contributing towards the upkeep of the house.
(3) can he make a case showing that he expected to have that roof over his head the rest of his life.
Just there of the questions a solicitor will ask you. be the first and go and see a solicitor. an order from the courts can be made and if not complied with, he can be arrested.

First off if you are still sleeping with him - stop. If you are cooking for him - stop. Washing his clothes - stop. Tell him in no uncertain terms that it is over and he has to leave. Give him a deadline and stop being nice about it. If you make his life so miserable that he doesn't want to be around you, he will leave.

If there are shared financial issues, you need a lawyer.

If he is violent that is a whole other story and you probably will need to involve the police.

Once he is out, make sure you change the locks either way.

Be strong and don't give in to his manipulations if getting him out is really what you want.

How serious are you about him moving out? Give him written notice that he must be out in 30 days and keep a record of this. If he is not out in 30 days you can call the police and have him evicted. That is pretty drastic, but it Will work.

Depends how long he has been your partner. If he has helped pay for your house and its up keep I am sorry to tell you that you might have to pay him for it. He might have interest in it now. You need to get a lawyer and have him evicted by serving him with eviction papers. After that you can call the police.

Send/give him a letter stating that you are giving him due notice that he is to leave the property within a reasonable time -say one month. If he still does not go after that period is up wait for him to go out to work then get the locks changed.

If you own the house and they have no rights to it, you can have them evicted. Get a restraining order and the law can move them out.

However, if this house was purchased together or if they can prove they pay for bills and receive mail there, or if their name is on a lease or legal document, depending on the State laws, you might have to go to Court.
