it's rather annoying how everytime i go to look at something i get different things popping up on my screen when i don't need any of this stuff up there what can i do to end it?

Real easy, just install Google toolbar. Also yahoo toolbar will do. Both have good popup blockers.
Or, use Mozilla Firefox browser.
Or better yet, install IE7 Release Candidate 1 from Microsoft here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/support/default.mspx

Pop ups are sign of spyware.
Goto www.ewido.net and run the free version to scan and remove.

www.download.com and search for pop-up blockers, there is plenty out there for free. Download google/yahoo toolbar and they come with them built in
